How to Welcome the Islamic New Year PDF Print E-mail
Written by Peer wo Murshid Hz. Maulana Abulfatah Syed Nusrat Sahab Qibla
Sunday, 27 November 2011 03:16

The New Moon for Muharram was sighted on the 29th of Zul Hijjah i.e. Wednesday, the 14th of November 2012. Hence today, i.e. Thursday 15th of November 2012 the New Year 1434H will begin with the 1st of Muharram.

Traditionally, we do not celebrate the New Year day with lot of pomp, noise and fun because the coming of the New Year makes us a little sober. Indeed it is a time to pause and reflect about our deeds during the past year. We remember and repent all our misdeeds and very humbly thank Our Lord for the good deeds we were able to perform during the year.

A sincere “Stock-Taking” of our deeds, good and bad, is necessary for us on account of the ambition of our life. Our ambition in life as per our faith is to get closer and closer to Our Lord, Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta-ala, by making His Love more and more firm and deeper in our heart. After all the ultimate goal of our life is to seek His Vision within this life time (which is so limited).

Alhamdulillah, as announced by Peer o Murshid Hazrat Maulana Abulfatah Syed Nusrat Sahab Qibla, a few week ago, work at the Dairah is in its final stage. Originally we planned to open the doors for the community before the start of Muharram, however, due to some unavoidable reasons the work is running behind schedule.

Inshallah, Mahdavia Dairah of North America ( M. A. N. A ), which is located on the North Side- near the famous Devon Ave. in Chicago, USA, will be open for the community very soon.

Please Note: Peer o Murshid strictly refrained us from seeking or soliciting any kind of DONATIONS for this noble cause as it is against the fundamental beliefs of Mahdavia faith to seek help from anyone other than Allah.

Lillah or Allah Ne Diya Hai PDF Print E-mail
Written by S. Noor Mohammad

At the outset, please note that whatever the Promised MehdiSAS taught us is in full conformity with the Qur’an and Sunnah of ProphetSAS. Taking Name of Allah before giving anything to anybody is necessary for both the giver and the receiver.

The Qur’an has emphatically forbidden eating anything upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned.

“Do not eat from out of anything upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned. Verily it is a grave disobedience (Fisq).”   Al- Qur'an- 6:121

The scholars of Islam have interpreted this verse to mean that we should not eat anything out of the meat of even Halal animals if they were not slaughtered by saying “Allahu Akber”. They are right in their interpretation because Zabiha is the standard practice in the Sunnah of the ProphetSAS for slaughtering Halal animals for the purpose of food. From the times of the ProphetSAS Muslims never consumed meat which is not prepared by the standard Zabiha procedure.
